In July 1963, this sleepy town catapult to fame when Jan and Dean’s chart bursting song ‘Surf City’ became the Number One song and Huntington Beach was suddenly famous for surfing, partying and hanging out. Internationally famous as Surf City, the highly acclaimed city of beaches and coasts, Huntington Beach is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful cities of US. Boasting the eight and a half miles of the coastal scenic beauty, with the most beautiful beaches in the world, a historical pier, and the hub of culture and recreation, this most incredible city of California is a paradise for the tourists. No wonder, that every year a whopping 11 million visitors come here for their dream vacation destination, and bask in the sun in this perfect weather. The city was first incorporated in 1909, by a real-estate firm, which was owned by the railroad magnet Henry Huntington, after whom the city is named. The firm still owns the major mineral rights and is the prominent landowners.
The city is easily accessible to Orange Country and Long Beach, as it is located 40 miles in south of Los Angeles. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean in west, Costa Mesa on the south, by Fountain Valley on the east and by Westminster on the northeast. Home to almost 195,000 residents, the city is one of the safest ten cities, according to the city crime Ranking survey, with the best amenities offered to its residents. Nearly 35 elementary schools, five city high schools, and Golden West Community College, the educational scenario is great and happening. A one-room house can be purchased in the condo market, in $200 k, which is relatively very cheap. Houses near the beach are a bit expensive, but negotiations can be made for the cheaper bargain.
